So I had a great photo shoot tonight. It was very relaxing to go out and create. Colors were really great tonight with the late evening sun and shadows. I am almost 1/2 way through my 365 project and I have to say that it has definitely made my photography better. I highly suggest a photo project to anyone; just pick a duration and subject then stick to it. Or go and join your local camera club to learn from others. I learn best by seeing as most people do, so follow your favorite photographers (hopefully I am one of them!) and study their photography. That doesn't mean you have to copy it or shoot the same thing but find out what you like about their style, subject matter or look and work it into your own photography.
I just had a first call with a new referral from a current client. She wants to start a new blog website and has no idea how to do it. I suggested the use of Facebook, Linkedin, YouTube and writing articles on two different sites. She seemed to like this approach and said to me three times "I like your energy". I am looking forward to working with her and making the process easy, most clients don't care about the technical stuff of how a domain name works, what an MX record does for your email or the type of CMS you are using. They just want it to work and work well without any headaches or miscues.
Referrals are always the best type of new business. Don't forget to mention it to your current clients, maybe even offer them an incentive like a $25 VISA gift card or a free service from yourself.
I was driving along Creek Road back home yesterday and noticed this rose sticking out of the fenceline. I couldn't resist a photo...
I hadn't gone over to Marsh Creek in a while to photograph so I stopped by there today. It was very overcast today and I knew I wouldn't have much contrast. I like the muted feel of this photo and the great shades of green.
I have been working with Jared Polin of FroKnowsPhoto.com photography blog. For some reason back in college our first class together he decided to ask for my help using a 4x5 view camera. The rest is history...as in weddings, websites, events, traveling...the list goes on. Jared and I always have some business we are working on and its great to have someone that you can bouce ideas off of and be your second biggest critic...after yourself of course.
Hello & wecome to @Cazillo. My staff of photographers, website designers & programmers are finally under a new name. I have been in business for years but only part time for myself as I had a full time position working for another photo studio. Because of the economy I was laid off in April of 2009. I gave myself 6 months and decided on a company name and went forward with it. I had already been a member of LeTip Chester County East Business Referral Group for about 2 years and switched my category to Website Designer. That group of local business owners in the Exton/West Chester/Main Line area are the reason I am still self employed today - and have plenty of business to keep me occupied.
I had been doing both website design and photography for the studio and pushed their website to #5 for a 2 keyword search. It was a natural progression to start working for myself...although as my Grandfather used to say I just needed a "swift kick in the pants" to get going.
Its now 14 months later and I have decided to brand myself under a new name, @Cazillo. The new logo is great with a touch of 'pixels'. I have also had a hankerin' for starting a blog so its time to get going.
Besides website design and photography jobs I have also been teaching at Main Line School Night as well as Chester County Night School. Both of them have done me well and as I read lately its best to give away all knowledge I have, that way it leaves room for more. I am not sure of the source...probably one of the many blogs I read.
This website and blog will probably go through many changes and updates over the next year. I don't want to limit anything, just see where it goes. I will probably comment on the blogs that I read, my 365 photo project, photography I like as well as my rants, raves, perks and pokes of daily business.

Monospace Web Safe Fonts
Monospace fonts are useful when you want to make sure characters all line up with exactly the same width. Displaying code or tabular data without using a table are good uses for monospace fonts.

"Cursive" Web Safe Fonts
Currently, there aren't many Web safe cursive fonts. There is a "cursive" fallback, like sans-serif, serif, and monospace, but for the most part this is highly unused.
