Watch Creating Photographs: Children's Portrait on YouTube

New Series! I had an idea to make videos on how I created some of my photographs from over the years. This first one is a child's portrait taken with natural light, no flash. My settings were f2.8 1/320/sec at ISO 320. I used my Nikon D3 and 70-200 2.8 lens.

Great shot. I really enjoy your videos, even if you are a Nikonian and I'm a Canonian. LOL
One day I would like to meet you when I am up there. I am in Florida.

Thank you Greg. Your videos are informative and extremely helpful. I was a little down today because I just didn't think I was "getting" it. But you helped me to feel like I should keep going, keep trying, FIND GOOD LIGHT!

Hi Greg, I enjoy your videos very much and learned a lot of them. Also in this portrait session you recommend the Nikon 70-200 lens. And here`s my problem: I`m afraid it`s just too heavy for me because i do not have the "paws" and muscles to carry the lens during a portrait session; what its your advice - a monopod or better using a prime lens like the 85mm?
Thanks,
Gudrun.
