Pet portrait tips, what I did right and wrong!

Watch Pet Photography Tips on YouTube

In this video I reviewed my photos from the photography session with Gracie, a friend's Jack Russel Terrier. She is a great dog with a huge personality. BTW coming soon are a couple more sessions with pets and at least one or two with PUPPIES! Keep shooting!

I like your outdoor portraits with Gracie. My dog is my portrait model and it is very difficult to get her to sit still. I appreciated your tip about the nose in and out of focus. I am always trying to focus on her eyes but somehow have nose issues. Now I will adjust to a f 4 instead of 2.8.

I have enjoyed your website and this was a great video. I am an amateur photographer that has as another hobby - an event venue that is pet friendly. I have taken thousands and thousands of pictures of dogs playing off leash and understand many of the difficulties in capturing great moments of dogs playing. Thank you for sharing your insight.
