Just as the title says...lets do this! I've decided to move forward with making new photography tutorials and other videos. I need your help though - what do you want? Post your ideas on the @Cazillo Facebook Discussion page, NOT the regular feed. That way the ideas will keep flowing instead of getting pushed down in the news feed. Simple? Advanced? Lightroom? Strobe? Product? Portraits? Let's hear it...
One thing I did forget to mention in the video is that I will need to monetize the tutorials in the near future, especially if I get many new subscribers and devote more time. This may be in the form of a t-shirt, educational product, or whatever I come up with. Everyone needs to pay the bills and I am no different.
Bottom line is you will be getting tons of quality photography information with the majority of it free. In the mean time get all your friends, family, aquaintences & enemies to like, subscribe or follow me on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and sign up for the email list. It will keep me motivated for now!

I guess you just have to figure out if you want to be a full-time blogger or not. I can't tell you how to live your life, but David Hobby went full-time in 2006 and now he rolls with Joe Mcnally. think about that!
Mad props though! Your videos are dope
Be original, otherwise it is just tacky
That should have been "Sweetness, I can't wait Greg" I guess I really couldn't
I have a question. I just started a website, and wanted to know if it's a good idea to have a facebook page... What's your opinion?
You are going to create something the people want. An interactive knowledgbase. Perfect. And I won't mind buying a T-shirt from "Gregzilla the photography monster" ( in a positive way monster of course hehe )
Thanks for taking the time and afford to make a large group happy in helping people out.
Al the best, to you and yours.

The Netherlands.
But the announcement in this video says "Greg Cazillo dot com " it's not the case it's just "Cazillo dot com"
I long to see your tutorials again.
Bring on the t-shirts!
Let's do this!
(I would actually like that on a t-shirt)
I really loved your videos and was looking forward to see the 'advanced' strobe videos. Of cause portraits or 'on the shoot' videos would be great two. I think we all will absorb whatever you give us. Personally, I would prefer more advanced videos, but this is up to you or the needs of your audience. Have a nice an pleasant day.
You should really come up with a cool t-shirt design or even do a contest for it!
Really glad you're moving on.
I hope you will feel more free with Jared out of the way
Yes! This is a very good start!
Good luck mr. G!
Do it!
Pls add sth like Paypal-Donate to your Site. I would be pleased to donate a small amount for your work.
Looking forward to see your great videos!
Good Luck Greg.
I personally would like:
1) Lightroom tutorials
2) Reviews on what equipment to buy - I'm a Canon user so ALL brands not just Nikon.
3) Basic photography tutorials - remembering that some of us are beginners & need to learn the basics & that we can't all afford the most expensive gear.
4) PLEASE don't link to facebook etc too much-some of us don't us it.
5) Question & answer sessions -not the skype thing like J does, but maybe just an area where we can ask Q's & you pick few & answer them in a video??
6) I'd like to see your work/photos & how you took them.
7) Photography competitions for ALL levels would be good too.
Sorry for the long comment but you asked what we wanted & these are my thoughts...
THANK YOU GREG
Personally, I'd like to see some 'behind the scenes' stuff - photos of how you set up lighting for photos/events.
Also, I like the idea of an 'advice you wish you had taken' segment. For example - when I was starting out, I was told to buy 'fast' glass, but really didn't understand how it could be worth double the price for the same focal length.
This "split-up" thing may to some seem bad and its surely a bad way todo it etc.
But in my opinion it has the positive side effect that we now clearer can pick a side and thus support the better side of the force, namely you Greg.
I wish you good luck and keep those videos coming, maybe a good DVD (for DL) for say 50-100$ would be an idea in the longer run?
If you have paypal I would like to help by donating a few bucks to the cause.
I also hope to see a forum here soon :-)
Just keep up the good work! Do the videos that you think are interesting, I wuold like just you keep on moving ahead, Continue the flash tutorial series, do the edits and so on..
Thanks for your efforts to make us better!
I agree with most what has been said but I'm sure reality is a bit harsher than some imagine (no steady stream of free gadgets to review etc.).
As for what you should do: Anything you can - that doesn't scream "Rockstar!".
The idea of doing a Q&A-session with you simply answering (think Dom Bower) is one example of that. I see you as a competent guy but not as a "happening" (people like Jared or snakeoil-peddle rs like Scott Kelby).
If a video is too much on one subject just do a quick writeup etc.
I'm sure everything will fall into place sooner or later. Good luck, too!
I don't agree with his inflection, but I do agree with the intent. How about:
"Greg Cazillo...AT... cazillo.com, thanks for joining". Something along those lines would be professional and original.
1) Product photography
2) More flash tutorials, I, along with many others I'm sure, struggle with this
3) Point-and-shoot tutorials (so many people buy a camera and leave it in full-auto for everything, and I think you would do an excellent job showing techniques and settings to achieve excellent pictures even with basic equipment)
4) HDR tutorials (there are a lot of writeups on programs, but video walkthroughs would be helpful and educational for someone just getting into it)
5) File system and workflow videos (what you do, and what you have seen others do)
What is your opinion on "hong kong monolights and speedlights" (the cheap stuff you can get on e-bay from hong kong)?
Norway says hi :)
Well played!
"Greg Cazillo dot com see ya"?
and on top of that asking readers for ideas and suggestions? you should invent the format and invite readers to participate, not the other way around.
From where I see it, for now, it looks like you are imitating Jareds' vision without the reason (his mother died without him giving the time to teach her etc) and that's' too bad Greg, b/c without a reason and a vision you are going to be "another small blog in the middle of nothing" or maybe the other blog that FroKnowsPhoto readers come and visit ones in a while.
My suggestion is stop acting like two girls in a cat fight, work things out and go back to the fro.
all the best
Neil
regards,
Lee
you do fantastic work, as mentioned, Jared really didn't teach the veteran photographers much, you are much more technical and a great wealth of information, I am absolutely pleased that you are willing to devote your time and expertise. Keep up the great work and look forward to seeing lots of videos!
Mark.
