Hi,
Is it good to convert the RAW files to DNG.Is it good to do this conversion before start to work in Lightroom. Whats ur opinion in that?
(Will it reduce the quality of RAW file.)
:)

I can be short about it. I always use the RAW file. I do not want to convert anything as i want to keep it as the camera shot it so i can edit it after that in Lightroom. After that i export it as the file as i want it...

Keep on shooting!

Roy

No it won't reduce quality as the compression is lossless. They will take longer to process because the computer will have to decompress. I use both, NEF for most things and DNG for big events to save hard drive space.
