horizontal line of dark pixels in RAW file

hello everyone,

i have noticed an error while working on a RAW file i recently took. there seems to be a horizontal line of dark pixels that begins in the left part of the image and goes all the way to the right edge.
now i have not seen any other photo of mine with the same issue, but after having done some research on the web, i read that it could be a software related problem in the camera. made a screenshot of the image-preview and of lightroom:

i have the latest firmware on my D7000 (wich has been working fine ever since i upgraded it about 1 1/2 years ago).

is this anything i should be worried about, so that i might have it sent in for a check?

thanks,
finntroll

considering you are using a camera that has had raw support forever, Id say its not the software. Google to see if there are similar reports of the issue. I have a feeling there is a sensor issue but let nikon figure that out.

Does this occur when you shoot Jpeg? if so id say 67.34% its a sensor issue

That's weird  Have you looked at the sensor? Is there a crack or a piece of hair on it?

@Bill - no, this is not the case. i can't see anything on the sensor. i know that there are some minor dust particles though (they have been there for a while now :)

@Brent - I have double checked all my most recent photos and there is no such thing. i never really shoot jpeg, so i can't really tell.
i'm hoping this does not occur any more. will keep my eyes on that specific area though.

I wonder if you would see such an error right on the screen on the back of the camera - any idea?

thanks for your help!

i was suggesting using jpeg to troubleshoot. Go out shoot some raw, then shoot some jpeg.

If both jpeg and Raw have line, then you are boned
If jpeg looks good, and raw has line, then your software is doing something wrong

Do you notice issue in camera or only after downloading the image?
