Library Comparison between Aperture 3 and Lighroom

3 years 4 months ago #6067 by jerry
To me lightrooms library module is a bit harder to work with, You look at aperture, every images gets loaded into a single folder under projects without changing any preferences.

And with Aperture you can only edit copies of the originals. With lightroom it seems like you edit the originals, I could be wrong!, as I haven'worked with Lightroom enough. But these are my first thoughts on the 2 I guess after having some experience with Lighroom.

There is another module under catalog labeled "folders" where you can access your images in their designated folders. As for the edits, you are editing copies of the original RAW files. LR takes some getting use to, but once you get the hang of it, itll become second nature.
