I use blu-ray to back up my raw images.
How do you do it?
Don't say raid because that doesn't protect you from theft or user error
Don't say cloud unless you can afford a solution to protect terabytes

Currently I have two copies at my desk on different hard drives, one internal and one external and a third external hard drive that I leave offsite. The downside to that is that the offsite drive only gets updated about every 1 to 2 weeks so I have stated storing stuff between Adobe creative cloud storage and Google drive until I get it backed up on the offsite drive

I had considered Amazon glacier in the past but I could never really work out the data retrieval cost but they really seem to have simplified their pricing a bit.

Depending on your location prices start at $0.011 per GB per month (that's $11.26 per Terabyte per month). The catch is you have to pay to retrieve your data if you want it so it should only be used for disaster recovery like fire or theft of all of your other copies.

The easiest way for me is 2 externals on my desk and 1 in a fireproof safe.. Use to do dvd but to much of a hassle and much slower.

I have 2 Netgear NAS stations running 4 Enterprise level HDD's in RAID 5. One is located at home, and the other at another co-location.
Plus I use some external HDD's from time to time at home and swap them out with the ones at my co-location.

Safe enough for my needs.

Nikon FX body's and some Nikkor FX glass I believe...

Hey luke thanks for letting me know about amazon glacier. I've been looking for a cold storage high capacity solution that is less monotonous than blu-ray

I came across this today, I have not looked into the details or how good it is but on the surface it looks like a very good deal. Amazon offering unlimited photo storage for $11.99 a year.
