Is there any free book software that are decent? I use to use Aperture 3 software and loved it. The macs new photos app is pretty nice and has a decent book maker, but photos get stored all over the place because of cloud, not an option at this point. Lightroom seems fairly decent, but the cost of printing through lightroom seems a bit higher and doesn't seem to be as versatile as aperture. It looks like I can still use aperture and submit my finished product, but I'm thinking ahead to the point where they won't.

Just export jpegs and use an online service to create photobooks

There is one I've seen that will supply a .PSD template, then you arrange the photos in the template and send the .PSD back for printing. A bit more complicated. But I haven't tried them so I'm not going to plug them. But there are a lot of options.
