TOPIC: Big aperture vs sunlight

Big aperture vs sunlight 4 years 6 months ago #1523

I recently bought myself a sigma 50mm 1.4 to shoot some wedding photos the coming summer, and i just thought of something.
At 1.4 i will probably overexpose my images when shooting in bright sunny weather as my D90s shutter doesnt exceed 1/4000.
Can i solve this issue by bringing a greyfilter?
Or are the different ways of doing this?

Yes, look for a neutral density filter. They make them in different densities so you can vary the amount of light it subtracts.
