Greg, I like your web site and your work and appreciate very much you sharing it with us. I watched your video about 50 mm lens and you said that 50mm is NOT a portrait lens. I don’t want to argue with that I just want to ask for explanation. I have Olympus E-5 and among the others and 50mm/f.2 lens. I`m sure that you know that the Olympus has 2x crop factor. My question is: does it mean that 50 mm lens (it is actually 100mm?) could be used for portrait lens? (Of course I have 50-200 SWD which is amazing lens and I made a very, very nice and pleasing shots with it). Could you explain this? Best regards, Zeljko

Adding a crop factor does not automatically make a lens longer mm, it only crops the image. The same issues still apply such as perspective issues in the 50mm when used with headshots. Does that help?
