Photographing Horse Races 4 years 7 months ago #1327

Hi Greg,

I see you took some photos at a horse race recently. I'm photographing the races at the Virginia Gold Cup and wonder if you have any insight as to where the best location to shoot from is. It looks like I'll have access to the course itself which should be cool.

Any help is much appreciated.

I photographed a horse show not a race. Big difference unfortunately. I'd say in one of the corners or the start gate if I had to guess.

I would guess if you are shooting a track race it would be the first turn.

Greg - if you would I would love to pick your knowledge on horse shows. I have been photographing horse shows here in NC for over two years now.
