I just got a stand to do off camera flash, because of my lack of knowledge i learned that i cannot use high speed sync, would a oc-3e cord allow me to use high speed sync with off camera flash?

It should do but I am not 100%, I have one at home and will test it later for you and report back. The one problem I did have with the cord is because it is curled you can’t get anywhere near the full length because it wants to pull the off camera flash towards the camera.
Some third part manufacturers make straight clash cords for canon but I have never used them or another option would be to keep an eye out for a second hand ST-E2.

ok thank you, Look forward to hearing about your results. I was able to compensate by stacking my 2-4x ND filters together.

That is a great workaround, I use it often to shoot at 2.8 in full sun with flash.

Turns out the cable I actually have is the older OC-E2 not the current OC-E3. I tested it anyway and it works fine with high speed sync, don’t see any reason why the E3 would be any different
