I love them both Roy; I think they're both great.
Just one small criticism of the first photo is that I would have tried to get all of the insect's wing in the photo; I find it a tad distracting that you have cut the end of it off.
That is the only thing I would personally change - I still think it's a nice shot. The second one is perfect in my opinion. Perfect focus, great composition, lovely blurred background - just a great image.
Good job on the pics.
What insects are these?

old thread but i dont want to make a new one.
taken with my reverse lens set-up. photos of the jumper taken same set with my 55-200mm + DCR250.
you can compare the magnification difference between the reverse lens set-up to the 55-200mm + DCR 250
non crop

Roy nice job as always!
How are you focusing? are you rocking back and forth hand held till you get it just right? I've been playing around with macro, but I'm having a hard time achieving sharp focus
thanks,
Bill

yes sir bill. thats what i do to get focus. i been playing a lot with the DCR 250 and its very much easier to use compare to my reverse lens set-up but cant get this kind of magnification(unless i crop it). this jumper was very cooperative that is why i got good shots using both macro set-up

Well.. maybe its possible for you to make a video about your setup and how you shoot these images
I think a lot of people can learn from that
And the way you do that, is a very interesting way!
Greetings,
the other Roy
