Shooting tethered with Nikon D600

Hello!
Could someone recommend me a software I can use to shoot tethered with a Nikon D600?
Lightroom 4.4 does not support this camera.

Thanks a lot!

Hi Paula and welcome to the forums. :)

I understand how frustrating it must be that LR4 doesn't support the D600 for tethered shooting. I assume it can read the raw files though? If not, you should make sure it is updated to the very latest version.

As far as I can think, you have two options:

1. Buy Nikon's Camera Control Pro 2 Software at around $135 or more expensive in euro depending on where you are. (I unfortunately fall into the latter currency)

2. Wait for Lightroom 5 which will almost certainly have the D600 supported.

If you need it soon, option 1 is your best bet. In fact, if it was me, I would just bite the bullet and buy the Nikon software because nobody really knows how long LR 5 is going to be and you could be waiting up to a year for it.

There is one other option and that is to download Control my Nikon which is much cheaper than Nikon's own software and looks quite good too. The only drawback is that it is only available to those evil Windows users. :P

That's a good solution Bill. :)

I must admit that it is irritating that Nikon don't supply this like Canon do. I hear Canon's software is very good too. I guess that's one brownie point for the Canon shooters. :P
