How you can use an Iphone, Ipod Touch, or Ipad, as a remote control, live viewing, and autofocusing is an impressive "built-in" feature

This is gonna be one bad-a$$ camera!

I think, I´ll take my time and wait for the D700-replacement. A D4 - or D3(s) - has never been an option for me as an amateuer. But it´s interesting news anyway. I hope, the pros get what they were waiting for.

The d800 might have a release date of February or March, hopefully. If it is anything like this new D4, it should be nothing short of amazing.

I think that the D4 will be a amazing camera, with the improved functions and AF in low light down to -2 instead of -1 and finally a starting ISO of 100 instead of the 200. Can't wait to see sample images and video other than the posted photo's on Nikon USA's website. I know that if I could afford it I would put my name on the list for one ASAP and February couldn't come sooner.

Having the D7000, and starting to get asked to do projects for people have been looking at getting the D700 for the FX sensor and the better ISO noise handling that comes with the FX system. I am just waiting for the D800 announcement before I jump the gun and get the D700. Though if I could skip the D700/800 and get into the D3s, I would in a heart beat.. The D3s will still be an amazing camera even with the D4 release. I also dont think that the release of the D4 will hurt the value of the D3s since it is a tried and true preformer..

Super excited for the new year and new line up for Nikon!

I would love to get a D4. That being said, I have not been disapointed with my D5000 at all and figure that when I feel its time to upgrade I will still not be able to afford a D4 at $6k. The d800 might be the way I go. That and keep the D5000 as a back up as I go to a lot of Reenactments and have to change lens a lot and would love being able to have a Wide angle and Telephoto both ready to shoot. The D4 is absolutely on my "If I had a Million Dollars" list though...

Yep!! Totally agree with you there Mike! I, too, have a D5000 and not one bit disappointed. A D4 is an awesome, steroid infused, camera, but I can't nearly afford it in my current state. LOL even when I have my job in the future I doubt I can get this or its successor :P

Once, I'm ready to upgrade, I'd probably go for the D7000 successor or a D800 (even its successor, if ever).

The D4, along with a Ferrari, and that girl that "friendzoned" me last Christmas Eve, are my wishful thinkings...

But, who knows! You and I just might win the lottery tonight and get us this camera! :)

Those are some good thoughts on the wish list.

I would have to play to win the lottery. Maybe I will buy a scrach-it ticket.

Maybe I'm the only one that is kinda disappointed with the D4. When the Canon 1Dx was announced I figured that the D4 would blow it away, but it looks like the 1DX is better in almost every area.

If I was in the market for a pro body I would just wait a few months and buy a used D3S for probably $3500-$4000.

I believe it's impossible to decide which camera is the best just by looking at the specifications. Crucial things such as focus, how clean the files it produces are and the ergonomics of the camera body can not be read from a paper.

google translate FTW! hehe
