Whenever I use any mode except auto or creative auto (Av, TV, bulb) there seems to be a long delay before the photo is complete. I am never quite sure of when it has been taken.
Is it me? :S

Do you have the noise reduction setting in the camera set to on? That could be a reason.

But yeah, agree with Greg, we're going to need more details than that. :)

Bad memory card possibly, I agree having noise reduction turned on will slow it some. Batteries? Having a memory card that is full, are you possibly saving JPEG and RAW? Maybe try reformatting your card or try a different reformatted card. Just some guesses here.
