Hey everybody! I started a 52 week photo challenge and just wanted to share the results from day 1. I am hoping to snap a portrait every week for the next year. Let me know what you think!

Pretty good idea; should probably set a challenge for myself in similar fashion... but knowing me, I may not be able to complete it

I like the tones on your portrait :) well done.

I look forward to the rest of the photos. And good luck on your 52 week challenge!

Dear friend,

In our century, forget the days even months pass like a minute. Thats why nobody cares about the extra day in every 4 years.

Even though I have not been updating weekly on here, I have been keeping up with my photographs each week. In fact, I just shot week 8 last night, but as for now here is one of my favorites from the last 7 weeks that have been published so far.

5/52 - Grandpa Griffith by griffithgreg , on Flickr

Canon 40D| 70-200 2.8| 148mm| 2.8 @ 1/160 sec | 100 ISO | Off Camera 430exii with bounce 60in umbrella about 2 feet in front of the subject

Let me know what you think about this photo and any other ones I have posted so far. If you have one you like better, tell me! Or if there are ways I can improve any of them please let me know. It is really hard to get good criticism these days because people do not like to be honest. You wont hurt my feelings, you will just help me become a better portrait photographer!

I won't nag about it, it seems to me like a perfect taken image!

Nice colors, nice kick in the face, nice eyes, nice bokeh..

I don't know what to nag about ;-)

Hope to see some more shots... because your last post is 4 months ago... :)

Greetz..
Roy
