Hi Everyone,

This is my first post. I have been watching the videos on youtube for the past few weeks and have greatly improved my photos! I take lots of pics of my daughter and am generally happy with the results. But I seem to have trouble with the blurred background. It seems that my background tends to look "fake", almost like she is in front of a blurred screen. take a look and let me know what you think as well as any suggestions, remarks, or complaints you may have. I am new to all of this but I have "thick skin", so don't hold back, you can't hurt my feelings.

This photo was taken during the day at a local walking trail.

PS. you can see all of the exif info on the site, so I am not listing it here.

Hi! And welcome to the forum!

About your image, its a nice solid shot. Only your composition. There is nothing as hard as photographing kids. So if you composed the arm in, it would place the kid in the middle of the screen which would make it less intresting.

On the other side, its off for me... it just missed the composition which is just bad luck...

Keep on shooting like this. Maybe your next shot is better in your composition but the rest is awsome!

Greetings,
Roy
