Hi Marcelo

My knowledge is such that I believe I can offer a reasonably sound critique on these two photos. Remember - these are my views only and I don't take anything away form whatever your artistic intent was.

The subject is quite obviously the cathedral and you have presented it in a rather prominent way due to the low perspective - this way it is quite dominant in the image - I think that is OK, particularly for the converging verticals.

The issue I have is the sky. Your editing is way too obvious with the brushing, dare I say sloppy? The first image, I think the vignette is over the top and it hides a lot of detail in the lower part of the building.

For the second image - the sky has the same issue but you have at least recovered some shadow detail in the building. Look closely around the spires on the skyline and you will see what I mean about the poor edit.

I hope this is what you were looking for :)

FYI, I searched "Santiago de Compostela cathedral" in Google images and found multiple images from a similar perspective with a 'normal' sky... my favored approach.

Regards

Jon

Thank you Jon !

Definetely I was looking for those kind of suggestions and opinions.

I am a beginner in lightroom and I feel the same about the sky...I will try to redo it with a better editing.
The idea when I was editing the photo was to increase the saturation in the sky and other parts of the building to create a different view/effect as the simple photo.

I will try harder correcting the sky...

Thanks again

I do have Lightroom 4 but when I get to that level of editing I switch to Photoshop and use masks. You could possibly try taking multiple exposures and blend. Alternatively you could have a look at this video of Greg's I watched ages ago where he edits a Landscape in Lightroom but in particular the sky...

Technically is appears to be a good shot, decent exposure and good focus. I personally would like to see a different composition or maybe more of the building. I don't like how the sides are chopped off. I'm not a fan of the over blued or darkened sky either(personal preference ;) ). An easier method to achieve editing one color is to use the color sliders. You can change the tint, saturation and luminescence to your liking, no masking required!

Thank you Bill!

I will try to do as you are telling me.
I think I did it but didn't save it, I have to check the history.
