I go out, relying on my trusty meter to give me good exposures. I then get back, so excited with what I had captured only to find out everything is at least 2 stops underexposed. Oh No! What is Exposure Compensation?
Exposure Compensation is another tool built into your camera that allows you to get more consistent exposures, or tailor them to your needs.
From Nikon: Exposure Compensation is used to alter exposure from the value suggested by the camera, making pictures brighter or darker.
